Meet Amelia.

Hi, I'm Amelia, the founder of MiMo Pet Care.

My love for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by animals, and developed a deep appreciation for their unique personalities, intelligence, and ability to bring joy to our lives. From a young age, I felt called to care for and advocate for animals, and that passion has shaped both my personal life and career.

I have a background in Sustainable Environmental Management at York University. Throughout my studies, I have completed courses in wildlife biology, conservation, biodiversity, ecology, environmental stewardship etc. These experiences have deepened my understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, and the important role animals play in our world.

My hands-on experience extends beyond the classroom. I have volunteered with animal shelters since I was young, working with a variety of dogs and cats and learning about them. I was a volunteer at the Toronto Wildlife Centre where I extended my skills on the importance of patience, observation, attention to detail, and always prioritizing an animal's safety and well-being. These experiences helped shape the calm, thoughtful, and responsible approach I bring to every pet in my care. From energetic puppies and adventure-loving dogs to seniors who need extra patience and support, I take the time to understand each pet as an individual.

Alongside running MiMo Pet Care, I have gained experience working with a professional pet care company and caring for pets throughout Toronto. These experiences have allowed me to work with dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, personalities, and energy levels while continuing to strengthen my knowledge of animal behaviour, safety, and individualized care.

Through years of hands-on experience and trusted relationships with pet families, I have earned a reputation for reliability, communication, and compassionate care.
